The first fifty registered physical copies of The Execution Layer form the Original Registry Edition. Each is assigned a permanent Record ID.
The registry preserves the documented chain of custodianship associated with each physical record as it moves between people, places, and generations.

One physical record. One permanent identity.
Each Original Registry Edition is paired with a serialized certificate containing its permanent Record ID and a private Registry Credential. The public registry preserves the documented history of the record. The private credential verifies custodianship and authorizes future changes.

Registration
Register a Persistent Record.
Registration establishes the documented custodian of a physical Original Registry Edition within the Persistent Record Registry. The custodian may choose whether their identity appears publicly.
Enter the Record ID and Registry Credential printed on the serialized certificate accompanying the physical record.
Custodianship
The record can continue.
An Original Registry Edition can be sold, gifted, inherited, donated, archived, or otherwise transferred. Each transfer adds to the record without erasing the custodians who came before.

A record is registered.
The Record ID and private Registry Credential connect the physical edition to its permanent registry record.

The custodian becomes part of the record.
The custodian may appear publicly by name or elect to remain anonymous within the public registry.

Future transfers add another layer.
Previous custodians remain preserved in the chain of custodianship rather than being overwritten.

The physical record moves while its permanent Record ID and documented history remain.
Registry Security
Protect the Registry Credential.
The private Registry Credential connects the serialized certificate to its permanent record. It should not appear in photographs, resale listings, social media posts, or any public registry entry.
Registration and future custodianship changes are reviewed before becoming part of the permanent public record.
Continuation
Custodians are temporary.
The registry does not attempt to make an object permanent. It preserves the record of its movement through time.
